In this course you will explore the practice of memoir writing as a form of creative expression. Memoir writing helps us examine who we were, who we are and reflect on the meaning of our life experience. . We will be using prompts to stir memories, examining the role of the senses , learning about the importance of detail , and sharing our stories in a safe and relaxed atmosphere. Whether you have never written before or are an old hand at it, you are welcome to join ! Come join us and find your voice ! Julie Snair
Julie is an accredited workshop leader in the AWA method of writing and has participated in writing workshops and retreats in Costa Rica and Italy as well as in Canada . She is passionate about bringing out the writer within and the use of writing as a means of creative and reflective, artistic expression .
Julie is a three time graduate of Acadia University ( BA English , BEd Secondary Education , and MEd Leadership ) She has worked at Acadia since 2000 as the International Student Advisor / Coordinator of International Education. She has facilitated numerous workshops including cross cultural competency, communication and culture.
