Friday, November 16
6:00pm - 6:30pm

Lear is Shakespeare’s bleakest, most profound tragedy. Often compared to Sophocles’ Theban plays, it was described by Polish critic Jan Kott as “the Shakespearean play of our time.” This talk will explore reasons for the play’s enduring power, and suggest key moments to look for in the NT Live production.

The NT Live production of "King Lear" will be shown at 7:00pm following the seminar. Tickets are available at the door. The price is $10 for ALL members.
