March 10 – March 31  (4 sessions)

With the exploding craft beer landscape, many people are gaining a new interest in beer as a more complex beverage. This course will take you through the history of beer, the ingredients, the beer making process, what a style is and how it is created, the basics of food and beer pairing, and the local beer scene. We will have a few guest speakers along the way (TBA) and of course taste some beer!

Bruce McGaw: Professional Beer Geek (Certified Cicerone Pending Evaluation) Since joining the beer making industry almost 5 years ago, Bruce has made it his goal to always be learning more about this constantly growing industry. Whether it be listening to podcast about evolving trends or historical information, visiting other breweries, teaching consumers and staff about beer, home brewing, or studying for difficult beer test with a pass rate lower than the bar, he is always learning and growing my passion and knowledge for beer.
